I have a one year subscription to Private Internet Access. Its been great. Low ping, never had any downtime, great encryption features, great speeds. I probably sound like a shill but its actually been completely flawless so far.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for here you might want to try asking /r/VPN

Get your VPN from one of these: https://privacytoolsio.github.io/privacytools.io/#vpn

First of all, VPN industry is ripe with referral promotions and shilling. Don’t trust the apparent public sentiment since it’s likely manipulated. Read this.

If you’re looking for privacy from the government, frequently recommended services like PIA won’t do you any good. Any VPN company based in US or one of the 5-eyes countries is compromised.

I’ve been using ipredator.se for years now. Never had a single issue with uptime or speed and it’s fairly cheap too.

Airvpn is a great service. A little pricy but much better than PIA.

I use Windscribe and I love it, you just have to press a button and it’s on, along with that, the owner(or someone high up) is a redditor and can help take feedback and troubleshoot problems.

Almost no one recommends Mullvad, but I’ve had no issues with them. My speeds are good, setting it up was easy on every single device thanks to being also able to go through OpenVPN. And they don’t know jack shit about you unless your payment method gives you away. They don’t sign you up, they give you an account number and config file to identify you. That’s it, you’re done.

I also used the 10 Best VPN Services 2025: Security, Features + Speed to choose a VPN with mostly good scores. Didn’t know about speed until I signed up, but it was worth it.

If you don’t want to commit, they give you 3 hours for free before they shut you off for not paying. They seem very low-key, and I don’t see them advertising, or being advertised by anyone, therefore I wanted to do my part and advocate for them via word-of-mouth.

Humble Bundle are offering a years VPN on their software bundle this month. I don’t know how good it is but might be a nice value option for you to take a look at with a little research.

Linus loves tunnel bear

I’ve been using Nord VPN for 1-2 years now. In the past I had real issues with speeds but they’ve added a lot of servers and performance is now better. Unless I hear of something better I’ll stay with them.

PIA. There’s a deal for 2 years for $51 right now

I’ve heard and read very good things about Proxy.sh, getting a subscription soon

PÍA is great, had it for a year but honestly I felt it was a little Hard for inexperienced users. Sharing with my brother and mother who are not tech saavy I went for TunnelBear, much easier and cuter

I’m surprised nobody ever mentions Cyberghost. I’ve been using it for a year and it’s flawless.

http://astrill.com great customer service. And it works with Netflix, dd wrt, easy to use Android app.

If Netflix blocks the VPN you’re on get on the 24 / 7 chat and they will find you a new server.

Been using them atleast 5 years now.

I’ve used AirVPN. Great and simple client, fast autoconnect, good pricing.

Thanks for the response everyone
