We all want Africa 2.0. But what species do you want?

They should hire red dead devs, they made riding horse relatively painless.

If you shoot an elephant, the game deletes your save.

I did… they are still critically endangered. I’m not going to argue further with you about it. It was a 2 second google search. Loxodonta cyclotis is critically endangered due to a population decline of over 86% in 31 years. Source IUCN Redlist of Threatened Species. There. Now go fuck yourself.

Right, bongo might be better than okapi, okapi is endangered and it seems nobody hunts them legally IRL. Baboon hunting is pretty common in Africa, they are aggressive animals and often vandalize farm, house and kill small livestock in rural areas, kinda like hog in the states. There’s no great ape sport hunting, only some tribesmen are allowed do that, I just added this for fun:)

I totally agree, but unless a third world war hits, I doubt these people will ever learn to distinguish between stuff. They’ve simply not been reality checked often enough to know there is a difference between their privileged lives and the lives of others less fortunate. It’s the same kind of people who get offended on the behalf of others. Toxic all around.

Just because some people want it doesn’t mean everyone does. People can have varied opinions. Just like I know the community won’t stop talking about a new Africa map. But I personally would love a Texas map far more. So many Texas ranges have exotic animals to hunt, plus the wild hogs. I’d have much more fun there than another Africa map.

You also have to think, they won’t make another Savannah. If they do another Africa map it’ll be a jungle and then 99% of the content creators will whine about poor visibility and “muh grinds”

Just giving my opinion. I don’t shoot anything endangered in game so if a map had large numbers of endangered species I wouldn’t bother to buy it.

That’s the same argument as “lion hunting is okay because selling the licenses helps struggling tribes/nations.”

I’d rather we just stopped hunting endangered animals for sport and fixed the dying environments and economic imbalances of our world.

Black rhinos are critically endangered.

Bush elephants are endangered, forest elephants are critically endangered.

Eh. They do a little but the majority of help comes from hunting organizations. They actually increase the populations where no. Hunting organizations tend to favor stopping trophy imports which decrease populations and cause a decline in habitat.

They still need to fix mp geese and waterfowl. Duck hunting could use a little more realism. Weather could use an update. I would like a waterfowl map that was mostly water. Like venice louisiana. Before another African map. But africa is a good consolation

That’s true, even rhinos are far to large to fit in current lodges.

THANK YOU! I would kill for a Texas map! It’s definitely in my top 3 wants for the game. They could pretty much put any species there and it would make sense. Hell even nilgai could be reused(and hopefully given more skins) there.

Fair enough. Always interesting hearing others opinions on their wants for the game. What kinda map would you prefer?

Why not? No animals are harmed. It’s not like someone is going to go tiger hunting after buying sundarpatan. Oh and elephants arent endangered or even threatened so rhino would be the most popular choice you’d oppose. Hell even tigers and snow leopards are making a comeback but considering there territorial nature and large habitats there will never be a huge number of them in the wild.

Lions are far from endangered in fact locals co sider them pests since they kill their livestock.

Southern White rhinos are vulnerable, have legal hunting, and a rising population

Bush elephants are endangered (but have 400,000+ individuals… conservation statuses take decades to change despite animal populations being stable enough)

Guessing you don’t deny their intentions are good? Plus, there are a few good conservation groups that don’t involve hunting, of course.

Scottish highlands! It would fall somewhere between Hirsch and Revontuli in terms of terrain and species.

Heather moors, pine woods, deer and upland game.

If they don’t support hunting then they are not going to have much of a positive impact on African Game conservation. If they actively lobby against hunting then they are actively destroying conservation in Africa.
