That sounds cool. Revontuli is one of my least favorite maps just because I’m not huge on birds but I bet the landscapes would be beautiful in Scotland so I’d definitely buy it
That’s not point proven lol, that disproves your point bahahaha, if legal hunting takes place why the hell shouldn’t we have these species.
Not denying they might have good intentions, I take it?
Haha yeah there wouldn’t be as many birds but grouse shooting and red deer stalking in the Scottish highlands are like quintessential hunting experiences.
There’s few places where you can go without hearing a duck or goose,it gets tiring. It’s like sitting on the river and the geese don’t shut up so you move and it seems like they just follow you to fuck with your mind. One thing I don’t get is how they had clay pigeons in the original hunter but nothing in cotw even though revontuli would’ve been perfect with all the game birds.
Um… no, I was saying “you have a point there mate, fair play.”
WWF mostly help with wild animals being abused by humans. Like Elephants being worked to death and generally mistreated. Or bear cups being captured and raised to fight in dog pits. That sorta deal is what I hear most about. The fight against poachers are mostly up to the different reserves
Intentions don’t really matter, outcome does.
Yes they do have good intentions, but they’re spread pretty thin, while these others focus on africa alone.
Ok can you tell me why you enjoy red deer? I could never understand why people love it so much. I love my big game hunting in game. but red deer are just too common to be fun for me in game
400k elephant isn’t many when there were 10 million last century. You can thank those ivory poachers people love to write books about. Honestly though there are areas where there are too many elephant because they destroy their habitat. So if some idiot wants to pay $100k to hunt one or half that for a problem tag then I’m fine with it. The price to hunt these near endangered species like white rhino and elephant help keep them protected. A couple hundred red thousand for a couple of tags without guarantee of a trophy is the reason these animals are on the rise. They ban hunting and then we end up with another Kenya. Poachers take AK’s and just kill as many as they can and just take the tusks and let the bodies rot, while the wounded suffer and lash out at anything that gets in their way and have to be put down. I feel sorry for those poor creatures but hunting not the same. If an animal is wounded the PH will clean up the mess and most hu ting parties have a game warden attached to make sure no laws are broken.
You still need intentions to work towards an outcome
They’re majestic as fuck. They’re an iconic trophy. Humans have been hunting them for thousands of years - see the frontlets from Star Carr.
I think it comes back to different hunting styles again though, I spend most of my time scouting and observing, picking out one high-scoring animal to stalk and shoot before moving to another map to repeat the process.
They’re a beautiful species for one and have one of the most impressive racks in nature.
