I've got McAfee LiveSafe on Windows 10. How does this compare to other antivirus software? What's a good online review about this?

I’m in Australia. I’ve got a yearly renewal due soon on my McAfee account for about $195 (Australian). When I first got McAfee it was a lot less than that as it came with my new laptop at the time.

Wow, this is expensive. I would recommend checking out Malwarebytes, F-Secure or ESET.

A third-party atv is kinda dead nowadays. You just need the Windows defender for your system and the Ublock origin for your browser. Privacy wise speaking you wouldn’t like your data handled to another party.

I would recommend trying BitDefender, best quality/price for me and also can be used on multiple devices

kaspersky free much better and same engine as paid

You can get 10+ devices McAfee on Amazon for around $30 at regular deal price throughout the year or $20-$25 during Thanksgiving in American holiday season. You can check how much it costs on Australia’s Amazon website. Never renew antivirus with any company which offers you discounted price, because their discounted price is even higher than regular deal price on Amazon sold by Amazon.com.

I wouldn’t recommend their batsh*t av to my nemesis

Sure it is very expensive, but the expenses pay off. McAfee provides perfect full-time protection against ransomware, malware, viruses, rootkits, hackers, spyware, trojan, and many other dangerous things. You can also protect up to several devices as well. Trust me, I know since I use McAfee, although it uses a lot of RAM. Also, some people say that McAfee spreads malware. Those are mostly lies (which the only points of it being true is if you downloaded it from a sketchy third-party website,) as McAfee is actually genuine and is used by many people, in fact some even being high renowned gaming spokesmen. You can do whatever you want with your money when it comes to antivirus, but just know that McAfee’s a great option, and might I and some people say, better than Norton. But it all adds up to personal preference. You do you, friend!

While McAfee may be a reliable antivirus software, its price point of $129 may seem steep to some consumers. For those looking for a more cost-effective option, Bitdefender and Kaspersky both offer free antivirus software with all the necessary capabilities.

It is worth noting that Malwarebytes may not be a suitable replacement for antivirus software, and consumers may be better off using more comprehensive options such as Bitdefender or Kaspersky.

If considering a purchase, it is advisable to purchase antivirus codes through reputable retailers such as Newegg or Amazon. However, for the average consumer, the free options offered by Bitdefender and Kaspersky should suffice without the added features found in paid antivirus software.

While some users may find paid antivirus software worthwhile, especially for those with children, the added benefits may not be necessary for the average consumer.

Both include the AV engine found in the paid versions along with behavioral detection.

It’s been good to me I’ve had it for four years. Once your trial is call them and tell them you would really give you a deal. I got two yers for $79. 5 devices vpn web protection and you can add it to your mobile.A lot of people don’t like it. But I guess depends on what you’re doing also. I just do a bunch of browsing. No banking or sensitive information.

Good but not better then other like Bitdefender, Avast and specially Kaspersky

Op Call mcafee right now and tell them you want to cancel. I forgot about my auto bill and called to cancel and get a refund. The rep dropped my rate 55% to keep me on and refunded me the difference.

They count on people forgetting to cancel or not understanding that they can negotiate the price.

Seriously, call support right now.

windows defender is very weak protection, kaspersky free much much better

Kaspersky is Russian. Beware.

You can’t prove that.

WD + uBO + up to date Windows is all you and 99.9% of redditors need.

Very true. From what I’ve heard, Kaspersky is very great, and very useful as well.

So true but combine Kaspersky free with comodo firewall and comodo av module turned off you pretty much 99.9% secure

Actually it’s not it’s just like Bitdefender but a tiny bit better

Yeah, but Windows Defender can’t scan all things unlike Kaspersky, McAfee, AVG, etc. It’s good (especially its firewall,) don’t get me wrong, but installing another antivirus could actually boost its abilities.

Virus easily disable windows defender and defender real time and web protection weak
