excuse me? Please tell us how it’s not
Someone else said something about Malwarebytes not being an appropriate AV, wrong, it’s the best thing out there, costs somewhere close to $40/yr. Norton is also right up there, just don’t fall for any of those spam emails selling Norton for $449. a year, it’s down close to $40. also
I am not the biggest Defender fan for consumers nor do I agree with what ruanri said; However, it has no problem scanning all files. If you enable cloud protection, adjust its protection level, and enable block at first sight it is pretty solid. Though it still has vulnerabilities.
It is better for business/enterprise though because it is managed through the cloud and thus overwrites local settings. Whereas in the consumer version registry access or PowerShell can be used to disable it, which is common in consumer-malware and thus makes the “all you need” line misleading. When Microsoft adds cloud management for consumers or at least completely locks off the registry/PowerShell commands then I would consider it. For consumers, Bitdefender/Kaspersky are the best options.
