Why does it seem like almost everything is cheaper in the US compared to Canada?

alot of good answers. though theres also the fact we make more money in canada per hour. so the cost besides all the great points is also reflective of the market it serves.

a think of nail polish may be 1$ there and 3$ here. though the same nail polish is 13$ in Switzerland where they make a lot more money than even here. Obviously Switzerand is irrelevant to the question. but the cost (on top of, again, all the other great points) is also semi reflective of how much we make here on average

When the value of our dollar goes up, the cost of imported goods does not go down.

When the value of our dollar goes down, the cost of imported goods goes up forever.

We are over taxed, over regulated and the value of our dollar never seems to benefit the end consumer.
