I mean I want the system protection. but I want it like how it used to work. Avast is no better. Avira, Bitdefender, even Kaspersky all work flawlessly to my knowledge, but I wanted a one-for-all sort of a program. AVG blocks games, blocks torrents, blocks Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, Google, just about any app I use that accesses the internet: I have had to put dozens of things in my exclusions list. Even Speedfan and it apparently only works if you disable scanning for hijacked driver altogether, it will refuse to remember just the one program. So on top of everything it’s spiteful.
What do you think, go back to the other programs, or stick with this with some tweaks?
Avast and AVG are owned by the same company, likely have similar functionality. I recommend really any other major AV including Window’s own security tools over AVG’s.
Contact AVG support or completely remove it with the tool named “avg clear”, then install again.
