What is the difference in Warp+ unlimited and zerotrust

Hi,

I have the Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 wrap + unlimited.

But then it gives me an option to connect to zerotrust. I have a custom domain on Cloudflare through which I had created some tunnels some time back.

So, when I connect to my Cloudflare login it changed the app to zerotrust and in blue colour.

What is the difference in the two. I understand that warp changes the dns to 1.1.1.1 and encrypts my outgoing and incoming traffic. What does the zerotrust do?

Cloudflares products are amazing but they need to hire a person to help name everything better… some of it is so confusing. Also their documentation is def written by an engineer and not someone that presents it in a way people will understand.

With zerotrust gateway you can customise 1.1.1.1 to block anything you want, from block lists to apps and content categories.

when i connect to Zero Trust, in the preferences next to connection it shows “WARP+”
so idk maybe zero trust is just warp+ for free. Also it performs better than the regular warp so i’m good with zero trust

so that’s why it’s called zerotrust, the chances of it trusting the Internet is 0%

Nope. You can go to the /cdn-cgi/trace page for any domain hosted on Cloudflare, e.g. https://cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace, and if you connect to the Zero Trust network, there would be “warp=on” and “gateway=on”. However, Warp+ would show “warp=plus”.

Zero trust is free and definately better than the free version of warp
I haven’t tried warp+
But the status shows warp+ when I connect to zero trust so maybe they’re the same

in my case, wrap+ is much faster than zerotrust, but i don’t want to pay anymore…

For me it literally says “warp=plus” when using zero trust
Idk maybe it has to do something with this particular colocation

Warp+ for regular ppl. Zero trust for businesses who wanna stop unauthorized internet access basically. Warp all day if ur just a lone wolf using the internet normally
