What browser & search engine do you use?

Yeah, I’ve been using DDG on a regular basis for about 2 years now without much of an issue. Maybe once in a month I’ll have to !g my search, but otherwise everything I need shows up without much hassle. It was close to unusable for me in the early days, but they’ve come such a long way. Hell, sometimes it gives me better search results than Google would.

AdGuard has 2 forms of protection - Content Blocking and DNS protection. The first only works on Safari while the second works systemwide.

EDIT: I forgot to add that dns protection might be a premium feature, but stacksocial has a good deal for it

Adguard works on Windows, MacOS, IOS, Android, Chromebooks… For IOS they have an app that works for Safari. On Android they have an app as well, also Firefox mobile supports their extension, so if you use FF you don’t even need the app. Windows and Mac also have dedicated apps with a companion extension (different from the standard Adguard extension) that works even better (but you need a paid license for that).

Aye, it’s also not exactly an ‘indexer’ - primarily serving Bing results, go figure.

Note that you must enable this option manually in firefox settings, because it is not enabled by default.

Only other thing to know is PiHole does not run on windows or macOS, so you have to install one of the supported OS ( Linux)on your laptop. I am using Ubuntu. If you haven’t installed Linux on a system before, it’s not difficult.

That’s what I know of. But on a personal level, I worry about their practices when they add crypto into the browser. I don’t want that in my privacy browser.

Just my personal opinion.
