VPN recommendations - to access Australian streaming and SportsBet

Does anyone who is either currently in Bali/Indonesia or has been very recently have any recommendations for a VPN company that is:

  • easy to use
  • can be used on multiple devices on both wifi and cellular (iPhones, iPad and MacBook)
  • can give access to the Aussie versions of Netflix, kayo, YT, Disney+, Stan and also Reddit.

I’ve been recommended ProtonVPN (by someone who hasn’t put this into practice in Indo/Bali), which looks fairly robust and easy to use on iPad/iPhone and a MacBook, but wanted to check for first hand experiences.

I use PIA (Private Internet Access) and so far works well in Indonesia and some other countries.

Currently in Bali - I use Private Internet Access and can guarantee it will work with Netflix, Disney+ and Reddit from Bali.

I also work in IT, and you’ll only need to confirm that the VPN has an Australian proxy location that works with each of those services. The person testing it doesn’t need to be in Bali as all VPN services work from here.

Returned from Bali last week.

Can confirm that my Tunnel Bear subscription is now useless as I can no longer access Kayo or Netflix.

So, if I were to use (for example) ExpressVPN/NordVPN or the like, and select a server located in Melbourne (or anywhere in aus) I should have no issues in accessing Kayo, which is geoblocked completely to aus (as opposed to say Disney and Netflix which are just region specific in what they have licensed in those areas but still accessible)

Yes if you can use it with Melbourne selected while you’re in Australia, it will work the same while you’re in Bali

My issue is I tired express VPN and Disney plus still won’t connect to the service. Any ideas
