I’m familiar with VPN’s but typically when I think of VPN’s I think of them as software, like Nord or Proton. What is the point of VPN hardware?
Typically, for offices. A real estate firm might have a main office downtown, but satellite office(s) in the suburbs. Instead of every user manually connecting to a VPN, they can set up a VPN connection between the routers at all offices, so it’s transparent to the end users.
I live in US. I am going to be traveling and working from Hungary, Europe for a couple weeks and I would like to keep my US IP address. My workstation use vpn which can only be accessed by USA IP address. CanI use this hardware to hide my current location IP address, and pretend I am still in Usa?
So it’s a shortcut for every user instead of installing the software on every device?
yes try flashedrouter.com it’s a hardware vpn with built in vpn subscription
Well, not really. The hardware is providing the connection point to point, but if that helps you visualize it, then OK.
