US VPN on my UK setup

Update:

Thanks for u/dre_skul, I was able to get it to work.

Hello,

Can someone please help me?

I have US devices on my network that need to connect to a US network to work correctly. I only need these devices to connect to the US, as the other devices can remain connected to the UK.

I have created a new VLAN and Network for said device. I want all devices for this network to go to the US endpoint.

I have created a VPN policy as per below:

  • Settings > VPN > VPN > Create New VPN Policy
  • Name: NordVPN
  • Status: Enabled
  • Purpose: Client-to-Site VPN
  • VPN type: VPN Client - OpenVPN
  • Mode: Certificate+Account
  • Username: From NordVPN service account
  • Password: From NordVPN service account
  • Remote server: 185.202.220.118:443
  • Local Network Type: Network
  • Local Networks: my newly created network
  • WAN: WAN
  • Uploaded the UDP setting from NordVPN

The device connects to the network correctly, but the router is still not routing to the new network. When I run whatsmyIP, it shows my local IP, not the 185.x address from above.

What am I doing wrong?

Your config looks perfect except for the remote server.
use 185.202.220.118:1194.

By default the OpenVPN Access Server comes configured with OpenVPN daemons that listen on port 1194 UDP,

Defo 1194 just checked my config. I also run a dedicated VLAN and SSID which goes USA VPN with Nord. Look in the Nord config file which you would have downloaded it will show it there.
