It should put an App in your Applications folder. If you drag that app to the trash it will prompt you to uninstall.

I guess the big question is why did you install it if you don’t know what it is?

Right. Pulse Secure is a VPN client. But it requires a VPN server somewhere that you are connecting to. It’s not something that a typical user outside of a corporate environment would download and install.

There is no new app shown in the applications folder. To answer your question, this is supposed to be a client setup for pulse secure vpn downloaded from their knowledge base website. However, after installing nothing shows up.

I need to know what did the installer do exactly ( what have been modified etc) and revert back the changes.

You are correct, i needed the client to connect to corporate vpn server and have access to its internal resources, i was just trying to download the latest version from thier website and found this dmg file that is called PSSetupClientInstaller.dmg. Downloaded the file and installed whatever it installs and nothing happens. I really think it is something else but i need to uninstall it now and don’t know how to do that. I just don’t like the idea of junk files sitting in my mac

Ok. So typically the version of the client needs to match the version of the server as they are not always backward compatible. But to find out what was installed just open the installer again and before running the install got to the File menu and select show files. This will give a list of all of the files that the package is installing.

However if there is nothing in your Applications folder then it doesn’t sound like the installer actually completed, unless Pulse Secure has changed in the last couple of years. Also there may be an Uninstall option when you reopen the installer.
