Does Proton VPN have special offers, sales or deals or only on special occasions?

Sometimes yes, like Black Friday deal. Just don’t expect nearly as much discount as you see at some competitors. Most of the times Proton deal is like $0.50-1.00 off standard price per month. And most of the Proton deals I’ve seen are for the new customers, not if you’re already using paid Proton services.
They normally have black friday deals. But normally they are pretty similar to getting the 2 year plan normally.
Not really, as I understand it they always have the tiered special where if you order a year of service it’s cheap AF. But I don’t know of any sales, doesn’t surprise me though they’re already a very reasonably priced service.
Look at Proton’s website, they will not do super-discounts or deals, it’s not their focus to be the cheapest. If you are looking for a cheap provider with a good deal, Proton is not the best place to look.

And existing as long as you’re upgrading only. It’s also just one year only.
However, I think it was a better option to prepay two years unlimited instead of one year Black Friday discount on the unlimited plan.

I deleted my last Black Friday email so I can’t say for certain, but I believe the one year Unlimited sale price is the same as the two year Unlimited regular price. If a user is happy with the Proton ecosystem, might as well consider the two year plan.
Are these special deals or can one expect these to always be there? My mullvad subscription runs out the end of feb and I’m wondering if I should get on this now or wait.
