ProtonVPN on Huawei AppGalery

It’s probably been asked before, but when will ProtonVPN be available on Huawei AppGallery? The app did transfer from the old to the new Huawai phone via phone clone nicely and works, but it doesn’t integrate with Android VPN settings, so no always on/kill switch. I am guessing this is because of the missing Google (Play) stuff, which I am not going to install. So I am really looking forward to ProtonVPN on AppGalllery…

Just search the apk from Protonvpn or install the F-Droid Apk

We suggest installing from F-Droid.

We may consider AppGallery in the future, but it’s a difficult decision given China’s position on freedom and human rights, and Huawei’s close connection with the Chinese government.

Not sure that this is going to happen. Although, better wait for a official response.

Same argument can be had about having it in the play store. The US has the same history of human rights abuse, torture and ties to the government. So what makes one different from the other?

Thanks. I have an update: Cloning the phone from old Huawai to new Huawai installs the app with configuration. However, the ProtonVPN will not be visible in Android settings until you start it the first time. After that it shows up and you can configure the Always On and Kill Switch settings.

Hope that helps.

Precisely, neither one nor the other is better but I will say that there is no greater death reaper worldwide than the US. Libia, Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Somalia and pretty much all of Africa. Let’s not forget.

I guess you haven’t heard of BLM or about the immigrant concentration camps either.
