Out of market fans, let’s talk about making this happen on a Roku or Apple TV

You are the first person with a full understanding of what I’m trying to do. I tried the pairing thing but I didn’t log out before I tried to pair, so I will try that next time. Sounds like you found the trick!

How is the tv on a vpn? Are you using a Roku? Or an Amazon fire stick maybe…?

Oh wow. Didn’t think they would allow vpn apps (Roku does not). Which vpn do you like?

Fair question. As a family household, I have the Disney+/Hulu package which includes espn+ (and my phone plan through Verizon covers a portion of it). If I didn’t have the package deal, it would be less incentivizing.

Using a Chromecast on an LG TV. I had issues with ESPN last year and got the Chromecast to keep myself from throwing something) long story. I also uninstalled and then reinstalled victory plus because I wasn’t seeing all the things I saw on the phone and thought maybe I didn’t have the latest update.

Private Internet Access AKA pia. I think I paid 60 bucks for 4 years

Edit: I’m still kinda skeptical but I did go to a browser on firestick and check my location and it said I’m in Texas which I’m definitely not

We have Hulu/Disney as well, but ESPN is an extra $8/mo for us to add, so we currently don’t have it, and I am hoping I’ll find a good solution to also get to watch the games free like a local does : )

I have this same setup. Works fine for games.

Sounds like it’s working then! I could not get V+ to work anything other than my iPhone. Even tried connecting the Roku to my vpn’d iPhone as a hot spot.

While you’re hoping I’m watching. Worth the $8 to me.

No, I’m watching too. Full hd just like you…exact same experience.

But for free : - )

And complaining and posting on reddit about it : - )
