Opera One R2, very interesting and I recommend trying it out.

I’m curious to know why Opera chooses to design its interface in a manner that resembles cheap gaming keyboards.

How many browsers do they have now? 3 or 4 browsers, not including the Beta versions, for every OS.
Instead of concentrating on making one good browser for each OS/platform, they make many browsers , and none of them is special or remarcabile in any way

Thank you for showing a screenshot so I know not to try it. The UI padding is so fucking large, it’s completely unnecessary.

Web content should always be front and center and the UI should always be as unobtrusive as possible.

They don’t have vertical tabs.

Opera desktop ui is annoying

I finally deleted it, between the Chinese and the extensions that don’t work, total bankruptcy. I no longer recommend it. I’ll stick with Arc and Edge

I did. Looks horrible.

What Linux distro do you have?

The Opera One R2 looks great! It sounds like something new that people who like to browse should definitely give a try.

I never had a compelling reason to use Opera. I avoid it like I do Edge and Chrome. Won’t get into the privacy issues, as it is pretty much the same as Edge and Chrome in that regard. There just isn’t anything it does that makes me want to use it over Brave or even Vivaldi. That said, use what works for you.

Not a fan of Opera, but use what you want, for sure. In our testing, they are tied with Edge for second place in the number of telemetry connections, trailing only Arc Browser. I get having some telemetry and not all telemetry is equal, but they make a lot of connections. Certainly, not a browser I would use even if I had just some desire for privacy.

How to have this big size tray icon at right ?

Miss so much Opera Mini J2ME

Does it have vertical tabs?

What OS are you using ?

Especially that “gaming” version

It’s targeting the same userbase.

? Opera One R2 is the same Opera One… it is the Opera One 114.
