Hi everyone I try these day to get meta ai back to my glasses but no luck anymore try reinstall change vpn app even make another account doesn’t work. Is anyone know to bring back Meta AI ? I am based in Germany please help thanks a lot

So I had the same thing happen a few hours ago and this is how i PARTIALLY fixed it.

  1. factory reset the glasses from the app so it tells you all the steps and also to unpair from bluetooth.

  2. turn on VPN on your phone to the US, Create a Meta account with just email dont link to insta or FB.

  3. With The VPN on restart the app and use that new meta account to activate the glasses

  4. DO NOT CONNECT TO YOUR FB/ INSTA and turn off location access.

  5. Previously it used to be just using VPN to enable AI but now it looks like it needs VPN to stay enabled. the moment I turn it off it says not accessible, but if i turn it on it works again.

  6. I created a ios automation to connect to US VPN when the bluetooth is connected to glasses and turn off when its disconnected. and another one to do the same when opening the meta view app.

Seems to be working for now. Please feel free to test and let me know if it works or theres a better fix…

The VPN trick stopped working for me. I’m UK based so I get the basic AI but not the part with the camera, the good part. Hopefully the visual AI will come out to other markets soon enough.

I can’t acess the ai with a vpn anymore. I can’t understand why meta would prevent this for people who really want it

Created a new account, and followed the above steps, it worked again…May be not for too long…let’s see how long it lasts…

Hey there! I ran into the same issue recently. The usual VPN apps stopped working for the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses setup, so I put together a custom solution involving a VPS and WireGuard. I’ve written a brief overview on Medium, and a more detailed step-by-step guide (with code snippets) in a Gist:

In short, you set up a small VPS on GCP in a U.S. or Canadian region. You install WireGuard on that VPS and connect your computer to it, effectively placing your computer’s traffic in the required region. Then you create a Wi-Fi hotspot on your computer that routes through the VPS connection. By linking your phone to that hotspot, the phone appears to be in the U.S. or Canada, allowing the Meta View app to complete the initial Ray-Ban Meta Glasses setup. Once done, you can return to your normal connection. Hopefully this helps!

I had purchased because I read that AI worked with VPN. I didn’t receive yet but thinking about returning them.

I don’t know what Meta gain if VPNs allow access to more users who would buy them for that reason and would also be complying with the regulations.

Me too since doesn’t work anymore. I think Will gonna sell it cause it help me a lot here in Germany with Meta ai… now is useless somehow.

Yes, VPN AI trick does not work anymore. I tried everything like redownloading the app.

This trick is just useful for 24 hours.

It stopped working after a day, and even after factory reset, now it won’t work…what to do now???

Also very disappointed AI that was working here in Belgium no longer works.
Well, it’s very simple - the Rokid Glasses are coming out in a couple of months, I know what I’ll be buying as soon as it’s out if Meta continues to play it like today.

Hello is it still working ?I am in belgium and it stopped working with version 192 and install over VPN, with USA account. It worked for two months, now I can not make it work again

Thank you so much buddy, this worked for me…Just before 2 weeks Meta found a way to stop AI using VPN…I was so worried, I was using these Glasses for my studies in India, suddenly I felt like a handicap without AI on these glasses…Following the above steps, I was able to activate AI again…hopefully it will continue as for a long time…Not quite sure, why Meta is not providing this service as standard in all countries…Thank you so much for sharing this information

So when you Bluetooth rayban is connected to the iPhone is automatic open VPN right ? Can you share the shortcuts? How you do this ?
