You guys fucking know nothing about antivirus software. Get a life and stop downvoting me
I have a couple lifetime licenses that I paid $10 for ~15 years ago. You are being ripped off.
Out of curiosity is there any advantage over bitdefender? From what I’ve heard it’s the best free anti-virus out there and doesn’t take too many system resources
It’s fascinating when folks can’t think of use cases of other folks, just jump to conclusions. You sometimes share stuff with your friends, co workers. Perhaps you came across a software that matches your needs but has low user count or you just came across a compromised website even through reddit.
This genuinely reminded me about how, in the past, people argued against seatbelts in vehicles, as often folks would say you don’t need a belt unless you were speeding. Use your logic, 99% don’t need it.
At some point there were lifetime keys floating around on the web, maybe even this sub, that seemed to have no limit to how many people activated it. I snagged a couple but lost all except for one, in absolute disbelief that it still works today.
I bought 3 lifetime keys ages ago and still use them today. Honestly, I don’t know why I keep Malwarebytes when Windows Defender works just as good…

I just installed it yesterday it asks u clearly if u want to install the web extensions he clicked yes.
What about nicks who never get picked? Still picnic?
Just run the expired one. It uploads database scans and removes. Just turns off active protection.
It used to have that and still does if you have an original installation.
Agreed. I make it a point to try to find non subscription programs, AND to tell the other options that I’m not going with them because of subscription for something that should be a single purchase.
When the antivirus software acts more like a virus than an actual virus, then they’re shit.
Bro you paid for an AV when your OS literally comes with one and then proceed to bootlick them.

Not with Microsoft Defender being baked in.
Malwarebytes only advantage today is it’s ease of use and it scans large compressed volumes.
I’d stick with Defender and get Malwarebytes if you have large compressed files (e.g. you install and up date programs like r/libreoffice )
Bitdefender is 90€ for the cheapest option if you want better than defender features.
That’s not anyone’s point. Defender is baked into Windows and works well. So it’s like saying that the seatbelt in your car isn’t enough, you need to wear a seatbelt and helmet while driving.
Also keep the helmet on when you exit the car. Sleep in the helmet. Your odds of survival WILL increase, why aren’t you doing this now?
Edit:
Let me guess why you aren’t wearing a helmet at this moment: overkill, redundant, unnecessary, low probability of a falling objects, no balance issues. no really though….bullets shot up fall down and kill people all the time. Get yourself a helmet.
