I need a VPN that has monthly payment options, meaning not one lump some payment. I love the $3.00 a month prices some of the big ones have, but I can’t afford to pay all up front. What is a reliable and fair priced monthly option? Torrenting will be the primary use.
PIA, mullvad or winscribe
windscribe has a monthly plan for as little as 2 dollars a month. You need to use their build a plan option, select a region where you want a VPN connection to (i.e USA) and then select the option for unlimited data. If you select just one region and unlimited data it should be 2 dollars (the minimum they require), the cheapest monthly plan I’ve seen.
AirVPN has great payment options that would fit what your looking for. They also have great port forwarding for torrenting.
Mullvad ~$6. Torguard $5 with 50% coupon.
I have a nordvpn account I’m sharing with a few reddit users right now. You can pay monthly although it’ll still be a lot cheaper than $3/month so it shouldn’t be too hard to pay it all at once.
Torguard with coupon is a great option for the cost, as is windscribe.
I will not recommend a single provider; however, I have seen users of this subreddit finding success with AirVPN and Mullvad.
Potentvpn or noodlevpn
Mullvad. 5 EUR per month, whether you get a monthly or yearly plan.
If torrenting is only what you gonna use VPN for I bought a lifetime FastestVPN 1-device account for $5 2 months ago and works great with torrents. Its on stacksocial, but price is now $11.47. Or a 5-device option for $20.
Note lifetime aka one time fee VPNs are a gamble, but I have still have my windscribe lifetime account after 2 years and FastestVPN already paid itself after 1month lol.
Would recommend windscribe if you decide the monthly route, they have a build-plan.
Sharing a VPN has no further risk, or against terms usually?
They do sound dodgy - never heard of them, not recommended.
Why go with a vpn that has links to companies who do the opposite of privacy?
Why is this getting downvoted?
No further risk. NordVPN says it can allow up to 6 devices at once so I would guess there is no problem. Haven’t specifically read the terms thouhy
My first vpn was Nord but support was robotic and quite slow - went to PIA but Linux client sucked, tried Windscribe and was very slow and the client would just shutdown randomly, support replied after 28 hours, now with TorGuard and couldn’t be happier, it’s all about what works best for you.
