Out of fear from a trojan I read about I am looking into getting an antivirus for my phone and was wondering if this one is any good AND safe to use?
Any ecperience with it is appreciated.
Unless you enable sideloading or download unpopular apps, the chance to get a trojan in Android is minimal. Some popular apps might get infected through their libraries or even get bought by malicious firm, but that’s why you’re supposed to remove apps you no longer use and only install those you really trust. Google Play will regularly scan and warn you if there’s a risky app.
An AV in Android without root access can’t do much since they’re sandboxed, just like other apps. VPN won’t stop trojans.
