Considering buying it but I’m not sure.
To me, it’s an invisible layer of privacy I care about keeping.
depends on what you are going to use it for.

It’s more of a privacy focused vpn. You might wanna go for proton.
For everything except bypassing geofencing? Yes.
For wanting to watch your favorite streaming service from another location? No.
I think so especially for certain online activities. Streaming content? Absolutely not though. I find it the most secure and least likely company if sued to be able to provide information about any specific user at any time.
Shell out $5/€5 and give it a shot and see
If it’s for streaming, look more into Proton tbh. Pricier for sure but it’s still heavily oriented towards privacy like Mullvad.
If you don’t mind torrenting, Mullvad’s really good for that. You could stream on Mullvad but it’s so 50/50. You might strike out and catch IP’s that aren’t blocked but Proton’s much more reliable for that.
I tried surfshark before and now on windscribe. Difference is night and day. Windscribe is better for netflix and prime, at least for me. Mullvad is more privacy focused.
Absolutely, it’s fast, solid, and cheap.
I renew mine every year
if you dont wana pay for proton, yes mullvad next best option.
If you had asked that question a year or so ago I would have said a definite 'YES". They are very secure, I like not having to do a dance over weird payment plans and what ‘deal’ is being offered this week like you do with many other VPN’s. They are as close to always being reliable in terms of the service being up and running as you will find.
I think the problem now though is that they’ve gotten a lot more popular than they used to be, particularly since the New York Times Wirecutter column gave them the ‘best vpn’ rating a few years ago. Now every website under the sun knows the Mullvad server IP’s, and getting blocked or having some other glitch (like captcha’s or some other b/s) has become a lot more common when using Mullvad. I remember when I first began with Mullvad seeing something about how they were going to be changing IP addresses on their servers regularly, but that doesn’t seem to be happening very often, if at all. Also, the fact that they now disallow port forwarding has made torrenting much more difficult, especially when it comes to uploading and maintaining a ratio.
So, because of these difficulties I’ve mentioned, I now wonder if its worth spending the extra money for Mullvad. You can find cheaper deals, and if there’s going to be one downside or another with just about any of them why pay more for Mullvad? That’s kind of where I’m at at this point. I guess it’s fair to say I’m not quite as impressed as I used to be.
I would just buy it as it’s only 5$ for a month, and if you like it during that 1 month then purchase more.
Yes, but not for Netflix. NordVPN excellent for that.
Mullvad’s great for getting around streaming throttle, as is Clouflare WARP+. Both are $5/mo.
For general usage Yes. Netflix or streaming, no. Go with Surfshark or Nordvpn for that (they have heaps of servers )
Mullvad’s IPs are banned on tons upon tons of services now. I wouldn’t advise anyone using it anymore sadly
Deeper network has an app you can download load for using there DPN service to access netflix
r/DeeperNetwork
It’s cheaper than ProtonVPN Plus.
