I recently purchased a ps5 while on a trip to Japan, and with it came a code for a copy of Spider-Man 2. When returning home, I realised the code can only be redeemed in Japan. Is there any way to download a VPN and change my location to Japan to redeem it? Thanks.
AFAIK it doesn’t care about network location, redeeming codes is based on where your PS+ account is registered
With Xbox/Microsoft I just open Microsoft,com/redeem while running a VPN and enter the code and it works even if my account is in the wrong region. They doing that with the Sony website if it’s possible. Otherwise make a new account.
Would it be possible to make a new account with my location set to Japan and then redeem it? I only care to play it through once.
