Hi, I just bought a cyberghost subscription and am now playing around with the VPN via my FritzBox Router. I have the following idea in mind and I’d like to understand if that is possible.
My FritzBox Router should always route all the traffic over a pre-defined VPN. For this I tried to set it up in the web interface, however I do not get it working. I also don’t find a working tutorial.
Appreciate your help.
I could be wrong but, depending on the model, the AVM support sites should show the basic setup. Though, form what I recall, the VPN functionality, except (maybe) for the latest models, only includes being able to “dial into” your local network via VPN.
If you want to have all outgoing transfers make use of the VPN, that would need a client on every machine or a local server which acts as the outgoing node for all other connected devices. This server then would be the only device using the FritzBox while itself having established a VPN connection. As all local machines then connect to this server, the only outgoing connection being used would be the one of the server.
As said, later FritzBox models might include VPN settings to force all outgoing traffic into a VPN but I haven’t seen that so far.
i have fritzbox 7590 and have VPN IPsec i take all the information from cyberghost (manual add device) and i dont have this: Enter the IP network of the VPN remote site. Note that the network used by the remote site must be different from your home network on fritzbox xalled Remote network i try the 10.0.0.0 also 10.8.0.0 but nothing the status of fritzbox is black and not green
how can i fix it?
