Help with VPN connection to home network

I wanted to see if it would be possible to set up a direct VPN connection from a remote site to my house.

Essentially, I have an RV that I spend a large amount of time on. I either work from home, or from the RV… the thing is that for certain things I need the connection to show my home network instead of my wireless modem I use on the RV.

Home router is a TP Link Archer AX6000 with a dynamic VPN Server service for non static IP Addresses. The RV Modem/Router is a custom unit running DDWRT.

Thoughts on how to possibly set this up.

Thanks.

Have you setup the OpenVPN server and the DDNS server on your TP Link router? If so, you should be able to add or configure the OpenVPN client on your DDWRT router, download the OpenVPN config file generated on the TP Link router to the DDWRT router, and route your traffic through your home internet connection. I do something similar using two GL iNet routers and it works great.

I saw that it had OpenVPN setting, I generated the certificate using the default settings, and exported the config. The DDWRT router has an OpenVPN setup page, so I’ll try that I guess.

Thanks for the help. Mind if I ping you if I have questions?
