Has anyone tried using the VPN connection of their phone on PS4?

Does anyone have any clue why PS4 is so ret****d when it comes to detecting and using a proxy server? I use my phone as the server.

I entered the IP and port number of the https proxy server (I’m using Every Proxy android app) in the PS4 connection settings. And only the web browser picks up the VPN connection. The other parts of the system simply bypass the VPN connection.

HTTPS doesn’t work. Neither does SOCKS.

What should I do?

Edit: I guess I figured it out. The Every Proxy app needs to be excluded from the list of apps that the VPN app shares connection with. But still not properly connected yet. The PSN somehow magically bypasses the proxy server connection.

It works with expressvpn …expressvpn everyproxy and your network settings on ps4 I’ve done it myself but unfortunately I can’t any other apps that does what express does

Could you find a solution to this? Could you get the Everyproxy connection to share on games too and not just the browser?

No I didn’t bother. But someone’s Windows laptop was able to share the VPN connection with my PS4 using an Ethernet cable.
