What kinds of benefits (websites, public transport, etc.) do UCLA undergrad students get for free or a discount on?
free tap card! unlimited rides on metro, BBB, culver city transport just have to sign up
UCLA Digital Toolkit has some resources to look at, namely Adobe Creative Cloud access.
apple music/spotify discount, discount at apple, amazon prime, Microsoft office for free, hulu discount.
The Library! You have access to so many resources and scholarly journals.
For coding resources, the library has access to O’Reilly for Higher Ed Library Access
There’s also SpringerLink, Wiley Online Library, ProQuest, and so much more.
Not specifically a UCLA benefit but I highly recommend any store you go to asking if they have a student discount, or looking up if they have one online (note: some big brands only have online student discount through UniDays or Student Beans).
If you have finacial aid and live in the apartments or off campus (not a dorm) you qualify for food stamps.
SpectrumU if you’re in the dorms, tons of free channels
Just wanted to put this out there, but Cal Fresh for food/groceries has been an excellent benefit for food/groceries for undergrad & grad students
I have 9 dollars on the tap app🙁
I need a refund
Also covers Metro micro! Basically Metro van rideshare for those who don’t know
This is the best one
i tried using unidays but they couldn’t verify my because our student ID’s are different than other schools
How can we achieve this?
As long as you’re on the UCLA VPN, you can use it. I was able to use SpectrumU from home the summer
you also have to send them proof of enrollment which you can find on myucla! because our IDs don’t show the academic year we’re enrolled for they need this doc.
Look up ucla calfresh initiative. You can set up an appointment with ucla for them to help you or do it yourself. I’m currently getting 291 dollars a month in benefits.
Where exactly? I can’t find my enrollment letter lmao
don’t you need work study? pretty sure the rule changed this summer to require that now
log in to MYUCLA > classes > enrollment actions > proof of enrollment!
then just follow the instructions and answer the questions on the page. i usually send the proof of enrollment doc to myself and email it to unidays
