I’m going to China soon and need a dependable VPN that functions there. I’m uncertain if ExpressVPN is currently effective in China. Could anyone confirm if it works?
I wouldn’t use a commercial service against a nation state. Set up your own VPN using a computer at home, and remote into it. OpenVPN and with HTTPS tunneling is the best way I believe, as it looks like regular web traffic. Well, even that isn’t foolproof, but its the same technology as ExpressHoneypot will offer you
It works occasionally, but don’t expect it to be reliable.
No. It doesn’t help me at all where I am now (China). It might connect at first, but only for a short time. After that, it will not connect again for the rest of the day.
It works fine on my 5g in Fujian province, but it never links to wifi for me. Even on 5g, it’s not always possible to connect securely or regularly. (I only keep it for their DNS service so I can play Diablo 4) Astrill has been a safer choice for me over the past few months, but it has been more expensive. It’s worked fine for me, but the mobile app seems to like WiFi better than 5g. Is more reliable for me to connect over WiFi. I have a Chinese iPhone 13 and Mac OS X. That means Android users can’t leave a review.
