new to Eset server here

using Eset server on premises to manage Eset clients that have an agent installed

Is there a way to manage those laptops that are in another physical location i.e different subnet, different network

Do you have access to your firewall? And how are these two sites connected? Via internet or VPN?

In general you need to allow incoming access to the on premise server’s port.

Hello, no it can not ping, there is no direct connectivity between the 2 sites

I would suggest giving ESET’s business support folks a call. They can explain how to connect the remote site(s) to the on-prem server.

The best option is a site-to-site VPN. If this is not the case then you need to make a port forward to the on-prem ESET Protect server. Also safer if the other site has static IP.

So what I did is (both my sites have static IP but no ability for VPN):

  1. On-prem side: opened port 2222 on firewall and forward it to the internal IP of ESET Protect.
  2. Created a new agent which listens on the public static IP.
  3. Installed that agent to all the PC on the remote site.
