Brave. Chrome speed without the Google spyware.
Firefox, the nightly flavor specifically so I can use desktop extensions not yet available on mobile.
Wish they had a full, desktop like tabbed browser on tablets though. And I wish it kept the sidebar when using it to make a PWA of Instagram.
Opera
The only browser with built-in text wrap (text fits the screen on any zoom). How people live without it on narrow phone screens is beyond me
Firefox
Navbar at the bottom of the screen
Microsoft Edge. It has carried over passwords and data from my Windows Phone days, and works cross platform over my Windows PC, Samsung Phone and Tab and my iPhone. Also, it doesn’t eat up battery and RAM either on PC or phone, unlike Chrome.
Moreover the adblocker is inbuilt on Phone and Tab versions and on PC, any Chrome Extension works. I’ve nothing against Chromium, I just like Microsoft’s implementation and optimisation better; also that I personally feel Microsoft is better than Google at doing Android.
Chrome. I’ve used it for so long and it has all my passwords and stuff saved and I have no reason fo switch.
Edge
Because it works well with the edge desktop browser. Good adblocking, can use Edge Drop to transfer files, links between my android and my mac.
Safari. The only mobile browser that doesn’t make me think fuck it I’ll just wait until I’m at my laptop
Firefox focus : try this
While Chrome is probably my favorite and the most well integrated with Android, Firefox is a close 2nd.
I do use the Chrome Beta though, and it feels much smoother on most pages and does appear to be less power and resource hungry than the official release of Chrome.
Firefox on the other hand, syncs up really well between your Android device and PC and I feel like it has slightly more integration when swapping between devices. The only thing I don’t like is that I haven’t found a way to force dark mode on pages that don’t support it in Firefox. That’s my favorite feature of Chrome (via Chrome://flags) and Samsung Internet (via settings).
Opera has a built in VPN.
habit browser … doesnt even get updated anymore… but so invested because of the speed dial screen … anyway to export that for another browser?
phew…
if android tv samsung browser version 17 or firefox as it has ad blocker extension embedded into the broswer as a optional download
phone android, samsung or firefox again .
Brave: Unlike Firefox, it has PWA compatibly and is kept up to date with newer web features thanks to it being Chromium based. It’s also heavy on the privacy angle, so win/win.
iceraven and smartcookieweb preview
friends don’t let friends use chromium/chrome (and kiwi is chromium based)
if you ever wanted bypass paywalls (clean) to work you can have custom extensions on smartcookieweb
if you were sick of Mozilla messing things up with not having extension support until recently, removing extensions like bypass paywalls, and shoving Pocket down your throat iceraven is a great alternative
the only thing that I miss with my alternative browsers is a lack of web push notifications
Easily Firefox
Not Chrome, good add-ons, plenty of privacy
Firefox for ublock origin on mobile
Brave. It has the familiar, polished interface of Chrome and an ad blocker as well.
The fact that I can use all of my PC addons for Firefox on my phone is the reason ill probably never use another browser. Plus, Firefox is an amazing company.
The sync too, it’s second only to chrome when it comes to seamless cross platform sync
