Can I use the gift card to pay for my existing Indian premium as I got the email to provide local payment?
I’ve not tried this yet. But What size gift card do you need to buy for one year YouTube premium?
Stupid question. But for #1 do you email or physical address? And I can’t use my normal email anymore with any of these ways?

This worked great, I did have to cancel my existing family sub (that Youtube was going to kill mid December due to payment method) the to switch over to Apple app store billing, as of this comment in December 2024, it seems like family plan is now 389 rupees as I lost my 299 Rupee plan, but I’m not going to lose sleep over that

Can the YouTube app be updated through the regular Apple ID on the app store? Or you need to enter the credentials for the Indian Apple ID every time you need to update the app?
So funny, I tried this and hacked my way around, but at every step I got passed Google wouldn’t let me. The fucking irony is that I will continue to use ad blockers. They could’ve gotten at least some money from me, but nope 
You have to use a residential proxy to redeem google play gift cards. They have really tight VPN detection algorithms. No issues once I started using them.
Didn’t you need an Indian credit card?
They blocked that…now get the can’t verify your country message

Accept it, it will be fine.
If you don’t, you lose the access as they will cancel your subscription. And who knows if you can make another without Indian card.
Also my non India card expired and I was able to replace it without issue with the new one.
Habe die gleiche Mail bekommen, habe mit Pakistanischen Rupees bezahlt… Ich habe die Methode oben versucht und die hat auch geklappt, nur wurde genau 1 Tag später der neue YT Account gesperrt… Mein Abo läuft noch bis zum 9. Dezember, dann versuche ich über die Indische Apple ID mit meinem bestehenden YT Account das Abo in Indischen Rupees abzuschließen… ich hoffe dieser wird nicht auch gebannt… Sollte es nicht gehen, war es das voll für uns 
No, they will just inform you that they have discovered that the purchasing information doesn’t meet acceptance criteria, informing you that on a certain date they will remove the youtube premium access, and that you might need to sign up with your countries rates to access it. I just got mine for 12th december after like 4 years, account is safe.
No probably not. I tried to redeem a Indian Play Store card on Bluestack with a vpn and it asked to confirm my address using an Indian credit card or bank account. So there is probably no way to even do it without a VPN.
Use Revanced on Android, you don’t need Premium
I used the virtual debit card from Revolut an online bank https://revolut.com/referral/?referral-code=ashwinidr!NOV1-24-VR-NL and opted to pay in Rupees instead of USD
Maybe you can buy a Amazon gift card in Rupees and then gift it to yourself and pay with that. edit: I Just tested this and doesn’t work, my card can’t be used to pay for it.
Did you not use the link in my explanation to buy the Apple Store card and instead searched for a gift card in the store? Maybe it is the same problem as I just encountered with the Amazon gift card.
