I think it will 100% work. People have already confirmed it will work on Xbox/PC on previous releases. Let me do some more research but I’m wondering if the clock is set from where you actually purchased the game if that makes sense? Is your Microsoft store showing new Zealand money?
i might just get a vpn for a month just for that, dont care about the few euros. But it would be sweet to play around noon over here in Germany instead of having to wait until the next morning (as i wont be awake at midnight)

yes it shows nz money. Maybe that clock simply does not reset once you bought the game, but might not affect the capability to launch it if Win11 thinks you are in NZ.
Like, imagine you buy the Premium Edition a month ago or whenever, then you have to relocate three weeks later to NZ and then you would not be able to play the game when it releases over there because you did not buy it while being in NZ? Would not make much sense for MS to have this mechanism.

No, like what does it actually display on the store before and after you set it to NZ?
E.g, that circled time was when I set it to NZ. It says 12pm 4th October. When adjusted to my standard UK time the circled time says 00:00 5th October.
i got one now, connected to new zealand and have everything else set up to new zealand too in Win 11, but that damn countdown still shows the incorrect amount of hours until release :(. I hope that the fact that i bought the Premium Edition on the MS Store this morning without any adjustments did not fuck with it so now its hard locked to Germany time haha.

in the xbox app however the timer stays the same but the time on the left changed to now earlier. So it will be interesting to see tomorrow who wins. The countdown clock or the other time 
yes i did. Apparently if i would’ve bought the game via the xbox app instead of the microsoft store, then that counter would move according to the region i set in Win11. Since i bought on the MS store the countdown seen in the xbox app remains the same, but interestingly the “available” time left of it jumps from 5th to 4th october when i change region to NZ. So it will be interesting to see in roughly 3,5h from now if it will work. A guy who bought in the Win11 xbox app, if he changes region, then the countdown adjusts accordingly. There are more people with the same problem i have, so we just hope its a bugged countdown display.
