What I consider to be one of the main benefits of a VPN is encrypting your data and masking your actual IP. I get that others are sharing the same IP address, but I’m okay with that as long as it helps keep things a bit murkier. With that in mind, what would you suggest for privacy and protection if not a VPN?
get a secure router/firewall. Ruckus,Firewalla, Unify comes to mind, and use a proxy that isnt used by 1000’s of others if you feel the need to “hide” from something
get a browser that erases fingerprints and tracking all the time, LibreWolf is one of the top ones, just remember, the more things you put into the mix, the more you will have to change how you email/browse the web/log into your internet accounts
Thank you so much for the detailed advice! I’ll definitely look into getting a secure router/firewall and a browser that erases fingerprints and tracking. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain everything!
glad to help, good luck!
