I know it is one of the best antivirus programs but i want to know what people in this sub think about it. Only reason i am using Kaspersky is that it has regional pricing in my country and other programs is just too expensive.

You wanted the cold hard truth so I gave it to you.
Well, as of July 20th, it’s banned for sale across the United States, and by September anyone who still has it will be locked out from software updates, etc. It was feeding classified information to the Kremlin back in 2015, it just took a while for the ban to get passed.
All that to say, you can keep using Kaspersky if you want, but I really don’t recommend it. Windows Security and a good ad-blocker should be all you need.
If you live outside the US, it is one of the best AV’s you can get. Definitely recommend over windows defender for the better web protection and system watcher component.
Switch to Linux/Unix desktop, and then you don’t need AV, lol

So who’s to say you can’t just use a VPN, switch country to Russia, and grab the updates, continue using product?
Wait does this guy work for the Russian Mafia?
If you ever switch off the VPN, it would likely stop working as soon as it went to look for virus definition updates
Block the update server with a firewall, turn VPN off after updating. Go a week turn VPN on and unblock. Download updates. Rinse, repeat.
