Cant believe I have to say this but no one should ever do this. Not saying you are a bad person but downloading files off some random guy is more dodgy than just downloading off some clearnet site.
Unfortunately, torrents not always work. Some books are not on torrents at all; for others, only a torrent with a giant .tar file is available, which contains thousands of books, without an option to download individual files.
Thanks for the recommendation. I did read the post about changing my DNS. It’s my backup plan now, as I need to look into what other things can happen from changing my DNS.
I haven’t noticed that feature. I’ll have a better look next time I’m on my PC.
Is it quite easy to find, or do I need to do something specific?
Oh okay, well I’ve only ever used TOR and the IP address issue you showed in the image get’s resolved for me everytime I restart the app. Sorry if that doesn’t help.
Are you wanting further information or just agreeing with me?
Its not in your face visible but if you just look under “slow downloads” it is in small ish text saying “show external downloads” and its all there. Just stick with libgen or z-library. The others dont really work very well from experience.
It used to be more visible, but they’ve redesigned the page a couple times to make it more hidden, probably to push more people to pay. They used to be in the same list as all the other sources, but now you have to scroll down and click on some text that doesn’t look like a link to unhide them.
I’m confirming that you understood my post correctly.
I answered your question. You are using a VPN others share, that’s how VPNs work. That’s why you can’t download.
Things like this are to stop normie users flooding the site with requests.
“Normie users” makes you sound like a dick. Except from that, yeah you are basically right.
I didn’t ask a question, I highlighted it as an issue. You came here to be snarky.
