I just want to download one book, I haven’t been able to get something from the site in weeks.
Not to complain, I’m thankful for the website. But things like this stop normal users.

Try using an anonymous proxy along with the, or without, the VPN. Use [ Spys.one ] to get the lists of free available proxys.
If secure DNS unblocks you without the VPN (which it often will), that would be one solution. GitHub - akaneshinjou/dns: guide to unblock blocked websites
You can also download it through the associated torrent file (remember to choose to download only your target book in the torrent)
Yeah, the thing is, it’s a public VPN that others use and so there’s a good chance someone is using the VPN to download the books
Try using OpenVPN and https://vpnbook.com
Download a VPN profile (try more profiles if one doesn’t work and try the one geographically closest to your country) and try to download
Im going to blow your mind. Just download books from the “external downloads” or whatever it is called. You are just downloading from the source instead of (what is basically) a mirror. With a vpn it should be fine. Sometimes it gives a link to tor which would probably be better for you anyway. Or just torrent like some people say but Idk how to use the torrents personally.
I could be wrong but TOR browser probably should work
Duh, you are downloading using a VPN which others share.
PM me - I can download and send it to you
maybe try torrenting
Most internet blocks are via DNS. You can google how to change it to something like cloudflare 8.8.8.8 or google
I guess that the website is not banned per se, it is probably blocked at your ISP level on the DNS resolvers. Try using another DNS server, for example Google (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4), CloudFlare (1.1.1.1) …
You can install your own resolver locally, e.g. unbound.
I just use mobile data to download now, as my ISP blocked it
The VPN has a number of addresses they reuse. And guess what the other people are using them for?
Okay I had to laugh, thank you🤣
Just to add without editing (call me weird idc), external downloads are my usual go to. Dont have to worry about download caps or anything along those lines. Plus from the source is sometimes just quicker and without the hassle. Plus it shouldnt matter if multiple people are using the vpn you are using.
yes I use this as much as possible… it might have a copy on libgen or z much easier
That’s what I’m using. I just said VPN to keep it simple.
As much as you are right, instead of being a dick about it you could just offer some help. I mean anyone with an IQ above room temperature can see that he was looking for a solution, not flaunting that he is sharing a vpn.
