VPN addon for kodi

What are some good addons to change your VPN on kodi?

You don’t need a VPN addon for Kodi. Just use a VPN and all traffic coming off that device will be routed through the VPN.

You don’t need one don’t waste the money and slow yourself down. It’s already end to end encrypted if you pay for Real debrid.

We use RealDebrid without any issues and it’s very affordable. We also have NordVPN for household VPN, but I haven’t used it with our Firestick/Kodi.

Is it just me, or was the actual question by OP not answered?
I’m also looking for some choices of Kodi addons to get my VPN working on my kodi device. I don’t need suggestions for VPN providers. The 'Zomboided" OpenVPN one didn’t work, so hoping there’s more than one option! thanks

Are you using a debrid service?

I use premiumize.me both as it’s debrid service, but it’s built in free vpn also like you say the geolocation lets me be in Finland or the Netherlands and avoid the government’s blocking…

I lose about 1mbit by doubling up on the encryption but I’d rather that than my ISP knowing I’m constantly streaming from my debris encrypted or not…

So yes in some ways it’s pointless, but in others it’s useful…

If you on Android you can download openvpn from the play store and put the premiumize.me profiles in that.

If you in windows or Linux you can use the zomboided l(ook up his tepo for the add-on)

Zomboided is a Kodi VPN add-on and run your VPN inside Kodi…

All you need is real debrid, less than $3/month you get access to more than you’ll be able to watch. Also, the best quality streams.

A vpn is borderline useless. I used it for 2 years. It only benefits the ones that use it for affiliate marketing and when you click in there link they get paid. Real Debrid is safe as can be. I’ve been using for less than a week and wish I’d used it years ago. Saves you on the hassle of bad streams and endless buffering. You can test it for less than $4. Real-Debrid: All-in-one solution

Namecheap’s VPN (FastVPN) can be had for $1/mo and you can use it via OpenVPN on a Firestick

Yes, but I have kodi(OSMC) installed on raspberry pi as a primary operating system. I guess the question is then what are some good free VPN for linux.

VPN usage isn’t exclusive to Kodi.

Give Windscribe a shot.

Although, it has a 10Gb per month limit - It is free up until you hit that limit.

I’ll challenge everyone else to find a “good” free VPN. I’d bet one doesn’t exist. Free is free for a reason especially when it comes to something that requires bandwidth.

If the VPN service you use supports OpenVPN you should be able to get it working on a Raspberry PI. Those instructions are specific to SurfShark but you should be able to adapt them for your specific VPN service.

With a debrid service you wouldn’t need a VPN for Kodi, since your connection to their server is encrypted. It would also give you access to more links, higher quality links, and allow you to stream the links at maximum speed. It’s roughly $3 a month.

You could try a free VPN but there really aren’t any good ones out there. A VPN will also slow your connection down, where a debrid service would likely speed it up.

Just a note that you really really should avoid any free VPN’s

Ok, I will think about it. Thanks for the info.

not entirely true, many isps throttle debrid/usenet providers heavily. even if they don’t you don’t necessarily need to trust the third party. it is ALWAYS a better idea to use vpn

Exactly why I said there aren’t any good ones

You may want to try Alldebrid free for a week to see if its something for you.

There are a few out there. The most popular, and the one I recommend, is Real Debrid. It’s right over $3/month for the 1 month and right under $3/month for the 6 month. I say try it out for a month. If you don’t like it (you will, everyone always does) then simply let it expire. If you do like it then renew it for even longer.
