Since it’s privacy oriented browser I suppose would be logical to be able to use VPN on the browser level.
Firefox and Chrome have many addons for that but Brave doesn’t support Chrome addons.
Opera has built-in VPN.
Before someone says you can have a VPN on the OS level, yes you can, but you might still want to use different IP for social media for example as to not connect your other IP to your name.
There are projects for decentralized VPNs (mysterious?) and I feel like it’s a good match to be able to use any of those in a crypto friendly browser?
Chrome-Addons are coming for the upcoming 1.0 release!
They already have TOR tabs which is great for privacy.
Brave has built-in Tor
which is decentralized and more powerful than your average VPN. That said, 1.0 will bring full Chrome extension compatibility. Should be landing around this US fall season.
As usual, /u/bat-chriscat nailed it.
Hola was great for me on Chrome as on ESPN I was able to wiew all their NBA highlights videos from Ireland. Tor on Brave doesn’t do this and a much slower load time
Brave Firewall + VPN is available on iOS.
Will be coming to windows/android/linux soon
Someone knows how to enable the vpn for the Brave browser?
Does someone know how to enable the VPN for the Brave browser?
Yes but a lot of sites block it, or they kill you with captchas, so sometimes its need to have just a VPN exit IP
A lot of sites block tor though. Google especially kills you with captchas
