**VIDEO GUIDE - How to Test the Speed inside a VPN Download Container **

To this point, if you’re not racing, which I don’t think would be from residential connection binhex rtorrent is fantastic.

Memory wise deluge is exponential for each torrent added once you hit 700+. Rtorrent is a lot more linear and handle a ton more. Rutorrent is really the bottleneck as you’re in the thousands.

Soooo, I just converted over to Wireguard and I’m finding Vancouver actually has the highest speeds for me now. Originally, I was testing on OpenVPN, where Toronto was the winner. Now, I’m seeing Vancouver being FAR higher than all of them. I guess Wireguard makes a big difference.

I’m in South Dakota. I was getting 10-20Mbps down on OpenVPN/Toronto, now with Wireguard/Vancouver, I’m seeing 260-270Mbps,

Is the Binhex-delugevpn container that allows you to switch to wireguard a new one? I don’t see the option in my container like what is shown in the video…

Can I ask how do you change the wiregaurd config to the CA servers? Mine is on the EU servers and I don’t know how to change it or if there is a list of servers to choose from.

**EDIT** Nevermind I found out how to change them. Damm you were not kidding about the speeds!

I thought it might be just busy or something so I ran multiple tests over about 30 minutes… Highest I ever got was 8Mbps, lowest was under 500Kbps and the average was 3.87Mbps… After switching to wireguard I’m consistently testing above 400Mbps which is the fastest I’ve ever seen on a torrent ever! I’ve also completed 2 downloads for some real world testing and got over 100Mbps on a torrent with 2k seeders and averaged 65Mbps on another… I do notice that when using wireguard it takes longer for the torrent to actually start vs. openvpn but once it starts it’s night and day difference speedwise…

Same for me, but in the YT comments he explains how to update your container: you have to copy your settings, delete the container, then delete the template, and reinstall the container. I did that, and now have VPN_CLIENT option that allows Wireguard.

Here’s what he said:

You will need to delete the template then redownload the container again to do this. So to do this copy the info from your existing template to notepad ++ etc. Then delete the container. Now goto the bottom of the docker tab and clcik add container. Now select template. This will list all old templates on your system. Choose binhex-delugevpn. You will see a cross to the right of the name. Click that and it will delete the existing template. Now goto apps tab and redownload the container and you will have the latest template with the wireguard option. Then now just copy the info from notepad for your old settings

When he says copy existing template, just write down your container settings in a notepad, then type those same settings back in the newest container when it goes to download.

What he didn’t detail, which I just learned: when Wireguard is used, it defaults to Amsterdam. Open DelugeVPN one time after changing to Wireguard, then go to appdata/binhex-delugevpn/wireguard and open wg0.conf in Notepad. Change nl-amsterdam to ca-vancouver or ca-toronto, whatever you want to use. Don’t change anything else.

Thanks! I must have zoned I missed him saying that entirely…

I just asked him an hour ago in the comments, and he quickly responded to me, so it’s fresh.
