Unable to access site because VPN is detected?

Is there any way to get around this? I am trying to get on a website that wont allow me in because of my region, however, it also wont let me in because it detects a VPN. (Surfshark).

Is there any way to get around this issue? I didnt know that this would wind up being an issue. One of the main reasons for vpn is to get to use sites that only allow from other locations, but now it seems like they are restricting vpn use. However, i heard some VPNs are allowed. like decentalized vpns?

anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Try switching the protocol to OpenVPN UDP. It has what’s called Camouflage mode. Maybe it’ll work.

Also, try a Multihop connection as it doesn’t give a captcha or detection FOR ME. The speed will, of course, be slow, but give it a try as well.

The last option would be to use a Chrome extension called ‘Vytal’ that spoofs your actual time and makes it appear like the time of the country you’re connected to via VPN.

Hey, in addition to u/Dayvworm suggestions you can try the steps mentioned here:
https://support.surfshark.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021935660-Why-am-I-unable-to-access-some-websites-while-connected-to-Surfshark-

If the issue still persists, I’d suggest giving our support team a try - you can reach them at [email protected] or you can join live chats on our site.

It’s likely that your VPN’s IP has been fingerprinted (and thus, will be detected on most sites). Check if that’s the case by scanning it here. If it is, your best bet would be to continue switching servers/IPs/providers till you find one that hasn’t been fingerprinted yet.

The common VPN’s IP has been listed in detection service such as ip2location.io.

Please try to setup your own VPS and tunnel traffics to avoid detection.

Ohh thabks I will give that a try. Appreciate it

Thank you! That’s great suggestion

how, but won’t that defeat the purpose of vpn i.e privacy?

i could be wrong but i don’t believe so, these services make no difference when it comes to locating YOU and finding your REAL IP, it’s just the companies IPs they use have been identified, if you look on that website or others for me it says the IP is identified and i’m in boston, i’m not in boston, so no it doesn’t defeat the purpose of a VPN
