How exactly does SBMM work in Warzone? Me and my 2 friends play Warzone (2 x 1.9kds and 1 x 1.35kd) and weMre getting lobbies in the 1.4s.
I then check Teep’s lobbies (whilst he’s playing with other players who have kds of 5+) and he’s playing jn lobbies below 1, sometimes 0.8 and drops 30+ kills. It’s absolutely absurd.
Someone please explain this to me? They swear they don’t use VPNs but it seems like the only logical explanation.
Top streamers are marketers for the game. If they were sweating it out like you and me every day in 1.2+ average lobbies they wouldn’t end up with good videos, streams, and clips.
It is in Activision’s best interest to have top streamers and content creators in lower level lobbies. This is a hard pill to swallow for many who enjoy these content creators.
I enjoy them too, but it would be crazy not to see that this is a business decision.
I’m in the US and constantly get in demon lobbies with people that speak Spanish. One guy called my mom a whore in Spanish on the death chat . I don’t think he knows my mom, btw.
Check out symfuhny. His lobbies are sub 1kd the majority of the time. My only logical explanation of this is that big content creators are “whitelisted” for easier lobbies. With easier lobbies they can push more content and market their game to the fullest.
It’s either VPNs or Activision whitelists. The whole insulting “time of day” bullshit is just that.
My playgroup’s k/ds are 1.4, 1.2, 1.1, 1.1, 0.7, 0.7, 0.6, 0.6, so our team average is often sub 1.
We’re also all contactors in the same industry who worked from home over Covid, so keep weird hours, and have played all hours of the day, every day of the week, for nearly 4000 matches.
And I have NEVER had a match below 0.9. Ever. Even at 4am. And even those are a giant rarity. 90% of them are 1.1-1.3, with the odd 1.0 and 1.4.
Streamers and Activision only care about money. Both are businesses. Neither act in good faith, and aren’t above lying to the rubes. They are not your friends, as much as you’d like to believe it.
People really need to stop guzzling their obvious bullshit. Especially when it blatantly contradicts literally everyone else’s lobby strength experiences, including their own.
Vpn don’t even work dude , my mate bought one to go India and all you end up getting is +1.25 lobbies with all the other sweats using vpn it’s hilarious
Some are whitelisted and others just use sbmmoff or nolagvpn. I know some use sbmmoff for a fact bc I used the shit and ended up on a top streamers team randomly in rebirth
They advertise the game, you don’t, unfortunately Activision care more about the streamers having easy lobbies to sell the game than the players experience once in there.
I’ve tried VPNs because I was curious because I saw TeePee consistently get lobbies ~.80 and under.
I’ve never once had a warzone lobby that low.
The VPNs did not seem to get me in any lower k/d lobbies. Therefore I’m under the assumption that activision purposefully puts the most popular warzone streamers in easier lobbies. They drop lots of kills which garners more views thus more popularity for the game. TeePee’s PR was done in like a .72 lobby.
conspiracy time. im not stating a fact just saying what ifffff. sooo what if when warzone signs up deals with creators they guarantee them easier lobbies? like make it so streamers get easier lobbies? cause that would get them more views and get more players. idk not saying just sating it might be a possiblity
It’s a matter of repetition, if you look through there games they have tons of sweaty lobbies, but when they get low ones they are able to capitalize on it with there high skill. Even with sweaty lobbies they are pretty consistently higher skilled then every other player, so they are able to do decent there too.
