Not the same issue. That sounds like a TV issue. May be your android OS is too old.

Hmm yeah RD should come through fine but if you was using 3 days ago on your vpn then RD would have been using that Ip address for you, so wounder if it’s an ip issue, I haven’t personally had this yet and use more than one ip address for steaming and other on laptop jdownloader2, for files both running nord, I’m sure you have but make sure you don’t have any killswitch set on vpn that’s blocking.
It could be , but there are self hosted ones as well.

I never use it with vpn, always without, I turned on the vpn to see if it would work with the vpn, and yes it did, with vpn it’s perfectly fine without vpn it doesn’t work

TL;DR My WiFi router netgear nighthawk which I’ve flashed 3rd party firmware on DD-wrt and got my vpn running on, so it only counted as one device no matterhow many i connectedto the router, so I’ve 2 iptv boxes and my stremio, just did a test and disconnected from vpn router and to my main gateway, my ip changed and it still working so I’m stumped why yours isn’t, did you change server alot when using vpn? Anyways don’t see problem with using it over vpn, even safer RD downloads are not encrypted, unless it has a password which streams dont, (IF IM WRONG HERE PLS FILL ME IN I’D BE GLAD TO BE CORRECTED, THANKS )so wont deep packet analysis on the fly these days, use your vpn till you figure it out i would especially as that’s all that will work till you find out what the issue is , but you need to track down what’s blocking it, what about another device like your phone to test it just download stremio and sync them together., see if the other device plays if so itsvthe software player. If you think I can help you I’m here I don’t mind. Could also try a network flush and reset.
