Torrentio+Stremio doesn’t load streams without vpn suddenly

How do I fix this? It was fine until 3 days ago then this happened

Your Internet provider DNS is probably blocking RD.

  1. Try rebooting your modem/router/device and test again (this may fix a bad cache.

  2. If option 1 doesn’t work, try changing your DNS in your router to Google or cloudflare or adguard

ISP is blocking the Torrentio DNS is my guess… You don’t even need to change it on the router level, if you’re only using your laptop, you can change the DNS on your laptop to something like Cloudflare.

Is your VPN on the list? It is recommended to avoid them when possible due to incompatibility. Use only recommended VPNs

Must be getting blocked, I know people say you don’t need vpn to use RD but I do with no issues, if I’m making a payment RD asks I turn off my vpn but that’s it havnt run into blocking or what some members face using multiple ip’s, but change ir rarely and if I have to, say server goes down or something.

Torrentio scraper blocked; use a different one like ElfHosted ones, or Orion.

Change the dns server to cloudflare servers. It will work.

I have been having a similar issue on my android TV.

The audio of the videos starts but the image stays frozen on the first frame it starts in.

I’ve tried changing players, even to external players. I’ve tried with or without VPN. I’ve uninstalled and installed Torrentio with RealDebrid twice.

But it just doesn’t seem to work on my android TV. On my android phone it works fine.

The video seems to showcase a DNS based issue, I see other people have said the same thing, I’ll vouch for Cloudflare as I’ve literally been using their DNS since the day it came out publicly and I’ve never had an issue with it on any site or service.

Sorry nothing new to suggest that hasn’t been mentioned already in the comments, but I caught a glimpse of Silenced and wanted to advise you to make sure you’re in a good mental space before you watch and take breaks when needed, that movie will f you up.

This isnt an RD issue. You’d probably get better answers on a stremio sub

Update, changing the DNS to cloudflare fixed it, thanks a lot for the help, it’s still weird that suddenly I get issues when it was fine for so long

Judging by the background and your confidence in recording this: You are from another country, so most likely your country/ ISP is blocking it.
