I live in Slovakia and half the times YouTube just gives me Hungarian ads so this pisses me off. I’d rather get atleast english ads instead.
Interesting that, I live in one of the most peaceful countries in entire middle Asia (Uzb) and to my knowledge, without VPN, I don’t have ANY ads from ANY youtube video, exception being Ads from content creators themselves, I am pretty lucky tbh.
Which is weird cause 90% of the location based ads i get arent even in a language i understand, or is even spoken in the country i live in.

Not to do with that - when you’re connected to a VPN, that changes your internet service provider. What’s most likely happened is, YouTube’s blocked any identifiers that resembles a VPN (most likely the ASN, as it’ll be marked as a datacenter)
They can. The problem is that YouTube labels certain IPs as fake locations or similar.

I get german ads auto-dubbed to english, I guess because that is my youtube channel setting. No way to turn it off. I live in germany.

It’s great for personal privacy.
I do use one, however it’s annoying whenever I have to use any other device than my PC
No clue… I wish i’d get those dubbed ads instead lol
