Tf is this? Download speed on Express VPN not even half my actual download speed?

Test shows my speeds when connected to Express servers are literally more than 10x slower than it’s supposed to be:

Are you using the ‘smart location’? It usually fetch the fastest server

I stopped using Express VPN because every website or app I used when I ran it with the VPN I got sssoo much lag, videos and images sometimes wouldn’t load. I was probably spending 20% looking for a decent server point to jump on. And usually after some time the good servers you previously used stopped being so fast. I’m good.

The speed test in the app is NOT AT ALL indicative of the actual speeds. For starters, it does the test when the app isn’t connected.

Run speeds tests on speedtest.net or wherever, before connecting to the VPN and then after connecting to the VPN to get a better result.

But the highest speed on the “best” server for my location is around 50Mbps which is nowhere near close to 3/4ths 1000Mbps

Which one you’re using now, I’m thinking of signing when the tasting period ends.

I’ve done multiple tests with the VPN on that very site, it’s always like around 50 with the VPN on and 800 with it off
