TeamViewer connection blocked after timeout your license limits the maximum session duration

I’m sure there are hundreds of posts for this. I am getting this error now but I have no idea how to get it fixed. I use TeamViewer to remote into my PCs at home when I am at work or out. They seem to think I’m providing support but I’m not. Any idea how to fix this? This happened once a few years ago but I opened a ticket and got it sorted out. I am now not seeing any option to open a ticket or contact their support unless I buy a license. Does anyone know of any other way of contacting their support?

Side note, I do also use TeamViewer with a corporate license for my work. Not often, once or twice a day at most but I sign out of my corporate account and into my personal account to connect to my own PCs and then back into the corporate account when I’m done. Am I correct in assuming that this is likely the cause since it’s all coming from the same IP address?

Thanks!

necroing but i switched to anydesk and it’s way more convenient. setup takes only a minute.

Better swap to any desk. F them greedy companies that make a terrible experience for free users.

Another solution is have a personal VPN setup at your home and connect to TeamViewer using local ip address and you won’t have any issue.

i had the same thing happen, account had been incorrectly flagged for commercial use.

Start here use the link at the bottom where it says “Please log in with your TeamViewer credentials to start the reactivation process” Reset Management - TeamViewer

I agree. Trying to do that now but that’s not working either. Created an account a few hours ago but still have no received any emails from anydesk to verify my email or to reset the password. Not sure if it’s just an issue on their side or something I did wrong

Using VPN to connect to my office laptop and then TeamViewer, but get the same message and drops.

What VPN are you using? How much are you paying? I know that Surf Shark & Nord are the 2 most popular but don’t want to pay the prices. So looking for a free alternative

I’d love to. Any idea how to do that without having a license?

Thank you for this link. Mine was incorrectly flagged. Hoping this works because I like to remote onto my desktop when I am out and about. This is annoying as hell.

Thank you. This looks like it has started the process of fixing it but unfortunately for me I’m guessing it still has to be done on the other computer as well in order to connect as I’m still getting the error when trying to connect.

It’s extra annoying that the message seems to suggest you can connect for 5 minutes if you just wait until the time it says but it doesn’t let me connect at all even if I wait a couple of minutes past that time.

same thing happened to me recently… this makes the second time they have cut me off so i just switched to anydesk.

Your own VPN… Zerotier or open VPN to connect to your device remotely.

let me know if it works

have you gotten a confirmation that its fixed? i got an email, it takes a few days at least in my experience.

No not really it just seemed to accept everything I put into the page at that link at the time. It didn’t seem to change much. Today however I can connect to the other computer for about 20 seconds before it says the session “timed out” and now it’s flashing up messages saying commercial use is suspected.

When I follow the Reset Management - TeamViewer link now it takes me to a page after I login that says

Request for permission
Commercial Suspected - Global is requesting the following permissions:

Account management - “view account data, view email addresses”

So now I’m unsure how to proceed. I’m switching over to Ultraviewer, teamviewer has been too inconvenient and silly. What reason do they have to suspect I’m using this commercially? They say it’s free to use to help family and friends, that’s all I’ve used it for and and I have barely used it much over a few years of having it anyway.
