Started to get this thing a week or so ago!

We had this pop up at a school I work at. Your IP address has been marked for some kind unusual behavior. Just wait a day or two and it should go away. We opened a ticket with our Google enterprise account and that’s what the tier 1 guy told us.

Do you use a VPN? Mine seems to do this when I use the vpn more.

i get this whenever im using a vpn

Could be harmless. It probably just uses IP addresses which are recycled amongst the public and you got someone else’s IP who was doing unusual stuff.

Or you could also have a virus or something. We can’t really say from one screenshot. Just scan all your devices with AV software and see if anything comes up.

I remember having exactly this kind of hindrance when i tried to access any site when my network was installed in my house.

I’m not sure why this kept showing up, but it eventually stopped happening as time went by.

Had this for a few days last year, then it went away by itself. Nothing to worry about, just annoying. At least it doesn’t ask you to select all boats on some crappy photos.

Time to switch to DuckDuckGo

Same! I thought it was my VPN that was causing it though.

Am I fucked, or what? TIA!

Are you using a VPN or any network tool? I used to get this on my college PCs.

A quick way to test this is to use a VPN and see if you get the same message. If you don’t see it when connected to a VPN, then you know that it’s definitely your ISP assigned IP. If you don’t have an account with a VPN service, I would recommend Mullvad. They have great privacy practices and I’ve never had my IP flagged when using them (unlike NordVPN).

Funny, but I started to use it less, way less.

Came here to say this. I use Betternet VPN occasionally, and whenever I try to Google anything with it on, this screen shows up, makes me complete the captcha (2 instances) and only then lets me go ahead. Gets pretty frustrating actually. Lol

Ok, thank you very much. I’ll try scanning with Kaspersky Mobile. I have 2 Lenovo TAB 8 and nothing else, and both show this thing.

Yeah, that true. I hate those. Thanks.

Are you alone in your network?

If it’s a shared connection,

maybe someone on your network is downloading/requesting lots of stuff from youtube (or google drive)

I had this happen while I tried to figure out what’s causing my PC to freeze/crash. So every reset/bluescreen all my google search windows kept restarting every few minutes.

or maybe 1-click filesharing sites and uses a script that tries to solve these captchas. Google detects the amount of captchas generated for your IP.

like feeblewitz told you in their comment:

try with a VPN or via your mobile data connection.

Rarely these days. Say for a few minutes a day to get to a torrent websites that are blocked.

Aha, I’ll try. I use a Windscribe VPN for 2 years now.

Oh yeah, I have 2 tablets, and YouTube is being binged on one of them.
