A friend from discord bought me a gift card for Spotify premium. He is from India and iam from germany. I learned there are different prices and there fore geoblocking. So I bought Nordvpn because I heard I could get around geoblocking, wich is actually not happening. Because even tho I set my location to India, it won’t let me redeem the code and tells my “you cannot redeem this code in your country.”
Can I get around this problem?
Try to use a different device or disable your location services as it might check by your GPS location and not the IP address. As I can see from their website, they only allow to redeem in the same country as the payment was made.
based on account location, not ip location. if you created your account in another country, its not usable.
