So I am in Poland and my VPN is set to the UK. Why are my searches coming back like this on Google?
Your default search engine is Google.pl?
It’s likely that Google’s using the location services in order to determine which region’s results should be shown. Another factor could be the cache and data stored within the application, which can be cleared in your device’s settings → Apps → Google. However, you can always switch the language and geo-location to your desired location in Google’s settings → Search Settings to get the desired effect (UK search results).
As someone mentioned, there shouldn’t be any issues with your connection, but you can double-check which country is shown on websites like dnsleaktest.com, whatsmyip, or other similar websites.
Just used the one on the home screen on my phone.
IP is coming back as London, UK
Assuming your phone is from Poland… it’s likely going to be Google.pl.
Also check that it is actually putting you where you expect it: https://whatismyipaddress.com
That’s good, as I mentioned, this issue is not quite connection-related, so the mentioned steps should do the trick.
