Set which web browser to use on Linux -- neither default nor embedded

I am using (or rather trying to) globalprotect 5.2 to try to connect to my organization VPN for internal network, on Ubuntu 20.04.

I finally managed to get the thing to open a web browser so I can try to login, by setting the default web browser option in pangps.xml to yes, but, now my issue is that I, in my default browser, am actively signed in to another orgnaization that also uses ***** microsoft login. Thus, I am automatically redirected to the login page of organization A, when I need to use the login page of organization B for the VPN.

Thus, I am wondering, how do I tell GlobalProtect to use ANOTHER browser than the default one? Do I really have to change the default browser on my system for this shit to work, and ensure that I never use that other browser to sign in to organization A, but only to organization B?

I think only possible options are still embedded or default. Maybe you can set up your alternate browser to be the default one, and use the old default manually with the other organization. That definitely should work, but will f-up any link you open from your email client, teams, etc…

Thanks! Yeah, that’s what I did in the end, so now I can at least login on the right organization, but of course, the VPN will still not work

Why can’t organizations just not allow you to ssh, instead of all this third party software setup? o_O
